    Event Management

Martin has a great reputation and allows me the flexibility to study from home. I love the teachers. I think the staff are knowledgeable and even though I study online they are really helpful and supportive. When I graduate, I'll be ready for a job in the events industry - hopefully working in music events and internationally!

  • David

    Event Management

I knew Martin would prepare me for the career I wanted in events. My employer is a world renowned zoo made famous by the world famous Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin. There are over 600 staff at the zoo and it's rapidly increasing every single day. I coordinate every event at the Australia Zoo which covers 15 monthly events during the year including three major events.

  • Stephanie

    Diploma of Event Management

I wanted to get the right skills and qualifications to start my career in event management, and I knew a Martin Diploma could get me there. The event subjects were great in giving me the skills I need to organise different types of events, including conference programs. I am working at the Australian Council for Private Education and Training (ACPET) organising their events. My plan for the future is to always aim high and achieve the best I can. I plan to one day work for myself and build a strong reputation within the events industry.

About the martin school of event management

Events Management is closely related to marketing and advertising. It requires a multitude of skills to stage a successful function which not only fits an organisation’s objectives and business culture, but also delivers this within a budget.... Learn more

An Events Planner deals with project management for every affair and they must be dynamic and creative as well as methodical and practical. Successful Events Managers develop strong business networks in order to provide memorable experiences.

An Events Manager, in one project, may need to co-ordinate venue choices, professional speakers, catering, themes and decor, technology, staging and lighting, audiovisual equipment, photography, media exposure, safety and security, graphics and multimedia materials, traffic and parking, entertainers and equipment hire – all within budget constraints!

An events course such as the Diploma of Events will give you the necessary qualification. However, to succeed requires a person who is creative, has organisational skills, enjoys meeting people to form good interpersonal relationships and is willing to work hard to experience the thrill of achievements. Rising to challenges such as meeting deadlines and working to budget, while still paying attention to the small details that go into organising events, is a daily occurrence.
