Graduates of the Bachelor of Business (Tourism) degree will have:

  • A broad and coherent knowledge of the theories, concepts, and principles of a range of business-related fields and disciplines including accounting, human resources management, economics, management, finance, and tourism management
  • A broad and demonstrated knowledge and awareness of business practice and tourism industry standards and expectations
  • Knowledge of contemporary business and tourism industry ethics, codes of practice, and corporate governance standards
  • Cognitive skills to undertake basic business and tourism industry research and to analyse and evaluate new information, concepts and evidence from a range of business and tourism industry, and academic sources
  • Cognitive and technical skills to facilitate problem solving and critical thinking in business or tourism environments, and to present reasoned arguments and analysis of key business, tourism, and technical data
  • Communication skills to facilitate working effectively with people and teams and to present clear and coherent information in recognized and expected business, professional, and academic formats
