Will I still get the same support as on-campus students?

Of course you will! This is one of the biggest misconceptions surrounding online learning, with the online students at Martin receiving exactly the same student, study and career support as their on-campus counterparts.

Regardless of what study option you choose, all of the student, academic and career development services that are available to our on-campus students are available to you. This means that our online learning courses are covered by the SAME support services that our on-campus students have access to - how good is that!

What’s the induction process like?

Before you start your first online class, our Online Learning Support team will give you a call to help you get started. After ensuring that you’ve received all of your online course materials, they’ll then give you access to the following support systems:

  • Your first subjects on Study Smart
  • Your student webmail
  • Student Forums
  • Live Chat
  • Various other communication technologies

How do I get access to my teachers?

Your teacher is there to support you throughout your whole Online Learning experience, so we here at Martin have made it even easier to get in contact with them.

Before you start class, your teacher will contact you to discuss your study plan, schedule, and help you to best manage your time. Regardless of where you are in your studies, you won't be left alone – your teacher will be there to help. Your teacher will also provide you with the ongoing support and encouragement that you need, in order for you to be successful in your studies. There are teacher-to-student and student-to-student communication tools also available online, including video, instant messaging, email and telephone services.
